Why Has My BookvaultBespoke Foiling File Upload Failed?

When uploading artwork for advanced foiling, the file needs to clearly show which areas of the cover should be foiled.

The areas you want foiled should be supplied in black.

Why does the foiling file need to be black?

In the foiling artwork:

• black represents the areas that should be foiled
• the design should not contain grey
• the file should not contain other colours

Using grey or other colours can cause problems during production.

What if Bookvault detects grey or pixelated areas?

If the file contains pixelation or grey areas, the validation check will flag them.

The error message will include X and Y coordinates showing where the issue appears in the file.

Use those coordinates to locate and correct the affected area before uploading the file again.

What if the file contains colours other than black and white?

If Bookvault detects colours that are not black or white, the file will fail validation.

Update the artwork so the foiling design contains only the required black and white information, then upload it again.
