Where Will My Book Be Sold With Bookvault?
Find out where your book can be listed when you use Bookvault distribution, including The Great British Bookshop, Amazon and other retailers and bookshops.
What distribution options can I choose?
When setting your title up for distribution with Bookvault, you can choose between:
- selling through Bookvault’s own stores
- making your book available through Bookvault’s wider retail distribution network
Bookvault does not currently offer retailer-by-retailer or country-by-country distribution controls.
Bookvault’s own store
Your title can be made available through Bookvault’s own stores, including The Great British Bookshop and Bookvault Shop.
If you do not want your title supplied through the wider retail distribution network, you can keep it available through Bookvault’s own stores only.
Amazon
Eligible titles using wider distribution may also become available through supported Amazon marketplaces.
When Bookvault sells your book through Amazon, the seller may appear as Bookvault Direct.
Amazon controls its own catalogue and marketplace systems, so Bookvault cannot guarantee when or how a title or Bookvault offer will appear.

Other retailers and bookshops
Bookvault’s wider distribution network allows bookshops and retailers to identify Bookvault as the distributor for your title and place orders where supported.
This can include retailers supplied through wholesalers such as Gardners.
Being available through the distribution network does not mean every retailer will automatically list, promote or physically stock your book.
Those decisions are made by the individual retailer or wholesaler.
Can I choose specific retailers?
No.
You cannot currently choose to distribute to some retailers while excluding others.
For example, you cannot remove Amazon while keeping the rest of the wider retail network active.
If you do not want your title supplied through the wider network, you can keep it available through Bookvault’s own stores instead.
Can I restrict distribution to certain countries?
No.
Bookvault does not currently offer country-by-country or regional restrictions for its wider retail distribution network.
For example, you cannot make a title available only in the UK and Ireland while excluding the United States.
The wider distribution option applies to the distribution network as a whole.
Can bookshops order my book?
If Bookvault is correctly listed as the distributor against your ISBN with the relevant ISBN registry, bookshops and retailers can use that information to order your title.

How do I set my book up for distribution?
In your Bookvault account, go to:
Manage Distribution → Set Up Distribution
Complete the required retail and distribution information for your title and choose whether you want to use Bookvault’s own stores only or the wider retail distribution network.
