Bookvault’s standard titles are typically printed using an inkjet device, which delivers suitable results for the vast majority of books.
When might toner printing be recommended?
Bookvault may recommend using its toner-based devices for books with:
- high ink coverage
- solid backgrounds
- dark backgrounds
- other visually demanding elements
Should I try standard printing first?
Yes.
Bookvault recommends ordering a printed copy using the standard print option first before moving to toner printing.
Standard printing has:
- a lower print cost
- a more efficient production workflow
- improved production times

If you think your book would be better suited to toner printing, contact the Bookvault team.
It is also useful to provide a sample of your PDF so the team can review it.

Toner printing is not enabled on accounts by default. Once Bookvault has enabled the toner option on your account, you can select it yourself when adding a new title or editing an existing title.
