Troubleshooting my Payhip store

Payhip offers a simple integration process with Bookvault. If you’ve followed our video guide, everything should be set up correctly—but if you’re having issues or want to double-check, here are the key areas to review:

1. Live Installation

Make sure you have only one active Payhip installation connected to Bookvault:

  • Go to the 'Apps' page in your Bookvault account.

  • Check the dropdown list—there should be only one Payhip connection listed.

  • If you see more than one, please contact our support team to remove the duplicates.

2. Product Listings

Ensure your products are properly set up in Bookvault:

  • For each book you want to sell via Payhip, go to the ISBN/product listing in Bookvault.

  • Click the cart icon to the right and select ‘Add a Product’.

  • Fill in the required form—including any pre-sale dates and selecting which print facilities can manufacture the book.

3. Webhook Setup

A webhook is required for Bookvault to receive order information from Payhip:

  • Go to Account Settings > Developer in your Payhip dashboard.

  • Confirm that a webhook is listed.

  • If you're unsure or don’t see one, please contact our support team to confirm or retrieve your webhook URL.

4. SKU Matching

The SKU used on both platforms must match exactly:

  • In Bookvault, your product’s SKU is either the ISBN you entered or the generated 13-digit dummy ISBN.

  • Make sure this same SKU is entered in the product settings on Payhip.

If all of the above are in place, your orders should automatically flow from Payhip to Bookvault for fulfilment.

If you're still not seeing orders come through, please reach out to customers@bookvault.app with:

  • The SKU of the product

  • Your Payhip order ID

We’ll investigate and help you resolve the issue.
