Why Does My Book Say “Image Coming Soon”?

Find out why your Bookvault book thumbnail may show “Image Coming Soon” and how to manually request a new cover image if it hasn't appeared after 48 hours.

Bookvault automatically generates your book's thumbnail image from the cover PDF you upload.

This isn't an instant process, so it's normal for your title to temporarily display “Image Coming Soon” after your files have been uploaded and accepted.

How long should I wait for my book thumbnail?

Allow up to 48 hours after your files have been accepted for the thumbnail to be generated automatically.

If your cover image appears during that time, you don't need to do anything else.

What if it still says “Image Coming Soon” after 48 hours?

If your thumbnail still hasn't appeared after 48 hours, you can manually ask Bookvault to generate a new image:

  1. Go to Manage Distribution.
  2. Find the relevant title.
  3. Select View Listings.
  4. Select Request New Image.
  5. Allow a couple of hours for the new thumbnail to be generated.

In some cases, generating the new image may take a little longer.

Do I need to upload my cover again?

Not normally.

If Bookvault has already accepted your files, try Request New Image first rather than uploading the cover again.
