Should I Include My Cover When Counting Colour Pages?

Learn how to enter your mono and colour page counts in Bookvault and whether your cover should be included.

No. Do not include your cover when entering the number of mono and colour pages for your book.

Your page counts should match the pages in your interior PDF only.

How should I calculate my mono and colour pages?

The total number of:

  • mono pages
  • colour pages

should add up to the total number of pages in your interior PDF.

For example, if your interior PDF contains 200 pages, with:

  • 150 colour pages
  • 50 mono pages

you would enter those figures in Bookvault.

What if a page contains both colour and black-and-white content?

If a page contains both colour and mono content, count that page as a colour page only.

You do not need to count the same page once as mono and again as colour.
