Can I Rush My Bookvault Order or Upgrade Production Speed?

Find out how Bookvault express and priority production work, when faster production must be selected, and whether an existing order can be upgraded after it has been placed.

Bookvault offers faster production options for eligible orders produced through the Bookvault UK facility.

When placing an order, you may be able to choose an Express or Priority production service. These options fast-track the order through production, but they do not guarantee faster courier delivery once the order has been dispatched.

What faster production options does Bookvault offer?

For eligible Bookvault UK orders, you may be given the option to select:

  • Express production
  • Priority production

These services are selected when you place the order and are designed to reduce the time the order spends in production.

Availability can depend on the product and specification you are ordering.

Can I upgrade an order after I have placed it?

Generally, no.

Once an order has been placed, Bookvault cannot simply change it to Express or Priority production.

If the order has not yet been sent to print, you may be able to:

  1. cancel the existing order;
  2. place the order again; and
  3. select the faster production option when reordering.

Once the order has progressed into production, it is too late to change the production service.

Does Express or Priority production make shipping faster?

No.

Express and Priority services speed up production, not the courier journey after dispatch.

Once the completed order has been handed to the courier, delivery and collection times are controlled by the courier rather than Bookvault.

If you also need faster delivery, check the available shipping services separately when placing your order.

Is faster production available for every book?

No.

Priority production is only available for certain products and specifications.

The options shown when you place your order will reflect what is available for that particular book.

Can faster production affect how my book looks?

Potentially.

Bookvault notes that Priority orders may be routed to the first available printer. Because different production equipment can be used, there may be some colour variation compared with copies produced through standard or Express production.

This is worth considering if colour consistency between different print runs is especially important for your title.

What should I do if I need my order urgently?

When placing the order:

  • check whether Express or Priority production is available;
  • select the faster production option before completing the order;
  • choose an appropriate delivery service separately;
  • allow for both production time and courier transit time.

If you have already placed the order and it has not yet been sent to print, check whether it can be cancelled and reordered using a faster production service.
