I’ve been contacted by Avalara about a missing or invalid certificate. What should I do?

Our tax partner Avalara will routinely reach out to customers it knows may have a certificate but doesn’t have it on hand, or where a certificate is on hand and is expiring, or where a certificate is invalid (for example due to the lack of a signature). In all cases, when getting in contact they should indicate why, as well as provide a sample certificate to be filled out for your market(s). Once completed and supplied to Avalara they will review and either file, exempting you from tax, or will contact you again if there remains an issue. Please note that they will be contacting you under the name of COPYTECH (UK) LIMITED (T/A PRINTONDEMAND-WORLDWIDE.COM), the registered business behind the Bookvault brand.
