How Does Bookvault’s USPS Consolidator Service Work?

Learn how Bookvault’s USPS consolidator service moves orders from the UK to the US and when tracking updates begin.

Bookvault works with a US consolidator service to help reduce the time and shipping costs associated with sending orders from the UK to the United States.

How does the USPS consolidator service work?

The process is:

  1. Your book is produced in the UK.
  2. Once Bookvault dispatches the order, it is labelled and packed in a larger shipment with other consignments.
  3. The shipment is sent to the consolidator’s UK facility using a next-working-day courier service.
  4. The consolidator processes the shipment and sends it to its US facility.
  5. The US facility then passes your order into the United States Postal Service (USPS) network for final delivery.

When will my tracking update?

The tracking number created in Bookvault will not normally update until the shipment reaches the US consolidator facility.

Because of this, there may be a few days after Bookvault marks the order as dispatched where the tracking shows no movement or shipment activity.

Once the order reaches the US facility and is passed into USPS, the tracking information should begin to update.
