What you can see depends on where the sale was made.

For sales through Bookvault’s retail distribution network, such as Amazon, The Great British Bookshop or Gardners, you generally won’t be able to see the individual customer’s personal details. This is due to privacy and data-protection requirements.

Can I see the name of someone who bought my book?

For sales made through third-party retailers or Bookvault’s retail distribution network, you usually won’t receive the buyer’s personal information.

This can include details such as:

Name
Email address
Delivery address
Other personal customer information

Retailers control the customer relationship and do not normally pass that personal data to the author or publisher.

What information can I see in Bookvault?

You can view your sales through the Reporting section of your Bookvault account.

The reporting area allows you to review sales within a selected date range and see information such as:

Which titles have sold
The number of sales
Sales activity over a chosen period
Profit or publisher compensation by title

Where do I find my sales reports?

From there, select the date range you want to review to see the sales recorded for your titles.

Why can’t Bookvault show me the buyer’s details?
