How Does Bookvault Book Fulfilment Work?

Bookvault offers three main ways to print and fulfil your book orders:

1. Place orders manually through Bookvault
2. Sell through bookshops and retailers
3. Sell directly through your own website

Here's how each option works.

1. Place orders manually through Bookvault

You can place an order directly through your Bookvault account whenever you need copies printed.

This can be anything from a single book to a larger bulk order.

Simply select the books you'd like to order, enter the delivery address and choose your delivery option.

You'll pay Bookvault for the printing and shipping costs, and we'll print and send the books to the address you've provided.

This is useful for:

• Ordering copies for yourself
• Sending a book directly to a customer
• Ordering stock for an event
• Placing larger bulk orders

2. Fulfil orders through bookshops and retailers

You can also make your book available through Bookvault's distribution network.

Once you've completed the required information under Manage Distribution, Bookvault can send your book information to our network of distributors and retailers.

When a customer purchases your book through a retailer:

1. The customer pays the retailer.
2. The retailer takes the percentage of the sale you've made available as your trade discount.
3. Bookvault deducts the production cost of the book.
4. The remaining amount is paid to you as your royalty.

This allows books to be printed on demand when they're ordered rather than requiring you to hold stock yourself.

3. Fulfil orders from your own website

If you'd rather sell directly to your readers, you can connect your online store to Bookvault.

Bookvault has ready-made integrations for:

• Shopify
• WooCommerce
• Wix
• Payhip

You can also use the Bookvault API for a custom integration.

When someone orders through your website:

1. Your customer places and pays for the order directly through your store.
2. The order information is automatically sent to Bookvault.
3. Bookvault charges you for the printing and shipping costs.
4. We print, pack and dispatch the book to your customer.

Your customer pays you, rather than Bookvault, allowing you to maintain the direct relationship with your reader.
