Bookvault’s quote tool lets you estimate the cost of printing and shipping your book before adding it to your account.

You can use it to compare different book specifications, check which Bookvault print locations can produce your chosen format and view estimated shipping costs for your destination.

How do I access the Bookvault quote tool?

You can open the quote tool from the Bookvault website or go directly to the Bookvault quote tool.

You do not need to have your book fully set up in Bookvault before using the quote tool.

What information do I need to get a quote?

You’ll need to choose the specifications for your book, including options such as:

  • Binding type
  • Trim size
  • Paper stock
  • Colour or black-and-white printing
  • Cover finish
  • Page count
  • Quantity

The available options shown in the quote tool are the specifications Bookvault can currently produce.

Can I choose a custom book size?

Yes.

Alongside Bookvault’s standard trim sizes, you can select a Custom Size and enter your own dimensions.

Your chosen size still needs to fall within Bookvault’s production limits.

If the size or page count is not compatible with the specifications you’ve selected, the quote tool will let you know so you can adjust your book setup.

How do I know where my book can be printed?

As you select your book specifications, the quote tool shows which Bookvault print locations can produce that combination.

Some book options are available across multiple print partners, while specialist options may only be available from certain facilities.

For example, a standard book specification may be available for local production in several regions, while some BookvaultBespoke finishes may need to be produced in the UK.

How do I see the full printing and shipping cost?

Once you have selected your book specifications, enter the delivery details and quantity required.

The quote tool will then show:

  • Estimated printing costs
  • Available fulfilment locations
  • Available delivery services
  • Estimated shipping costs

If more than one Bookvault facility can produce and deliver your book, you may see multiple fulfilment options to compare.

Can I generate book templates from the quote tool?

Yes.

Once your book specification has been selected, you can generate the relevant templates for that setup.

These can help you prepare your cover and interior files to the correct dimensions before uploading them to Bookvault.

What if I need help choosing my book specifications?

You can then return to the quote tool and enter the specifications that match your book.

Does a quote guarantee the final price?

The quote tool provides an estimate based on the book specification, quantity, delivery destination and shipping option selected at the time.
