How Does Gardners Order Books?

Learn how Gardners Books orders titles, the difference between stock lines and special-order titles, and why some books may appear as out of stock.

Gardners Books orders titles in two main ways:

What are stock lines?

Stock lines are books that Gardners chooses to keep in stock.

These are ordered directly from the publisher or their distributor.

If you would like your book to be considered for stock, email your title details to:

Email Gardners at sph@gardners.com

Gardners decides whether to take a title into stock based on the sales information available to them.

Gardners does not promote titles.

What are special-order titles?

Special-order titles are ordered through the MVB PubEasy ordering system.

Orders placed this way are sent by MVB to whichever company is listed as the book’s UK distributor.

Bookvault then orders these titles as and when customer orders are received.

Why do special-order titles show as out of stock?

Special-order titles are not held in stock.

Because Gardners does not keep physical stock of these titles, they can appear as out of stock even though they can still be ordered through the special-order process.
