For a new Amazon listing, you may need to create the book through Amazon KDP first.

Amazon no longer allows Bookvault to create a new ASIN directly for a title through its third-party seller account. This means that, where no Amazon listing already exists for your book, the title generally needs to be set up through KDP first.

Once the Amazon listing exists, Bookvault can connect its distribution offer to that existing listing.

What if my book is already listed on Amazon?

If the same edition of your book already has an Amazon listing, you do not need to create another product page specifically for Bookvault.

Bookvault can connect to the existing Amazon listing using the book's ISBN and listing information.

This helps avoid unnecessary duplicate listings for the same edition.

Do I need an Amazon Seller Central account?

No.

You do not need to create or manage your own Amazon Seller Central account in order for Bookvault to fulfil Amazon orders through its distribution service.

Bookvault handles the printing and fulfilment of orders received through its Amazon distribution arrangement.

Depending on Amazon's catalogue and marketplace systems, the Bookvault offer may appear against the existing Amazon product page.

What if I purchased my ISBN through Bowker?

If you purchased your ISBN through Bowker, make sure it has been fully assigned to your book through Bowker's MyIdentifiers platform.

Purchasing an ISBN alone does not necessarily mean that all of the book's publication information has been completed.

If the ISBN has not been correctly assigned or registered, this can prevent the title from being matched correctly when setting up distribution.

Why hasn't my Bookvault offer appeared on Amazon?

Amazon controls its own catalogue and listing systems, so Bookvault cannot guarantee when or how a listing or Bookvault offer will appear.

If your book is not appearing as expected, check that:

• the correct edition already has an Amazon listing where required
• the ISBN on Amazon matches the ISBN used in Bookvault
• your ISBN has been fully registered with the relevant ISBN agency
• your distribution information in Bookvault has been completed correctly

Can I use KDP and Bookvault together?

Yes, but take care when supplying the same ISBN and edition to Amazon through more than one route.
