Yes. You can use Bookvault alongside Amazon KDP, IngramSpark and other publishing or printing companies.

Bookvault supports authors and publishers who choose to work with multiple suppliers, allowing you to use the printing, direct sales and distribution options that work best for your book.

Can I use Bookvault alongside Amazon KDP?

Yes.

However, if you've used a free ISBN supplied by KDP, there are restrictions on how that ISBN can be used with Bookvault.

You can use your KDP-provided ISBN to:

  • Place orders directly through the Bookvault portal
  • Sell your book through The Great British Book Shop
  • Sell your book through your own website

However, you can't use the free KDP ISBN to also sell that book on Amazon through Bookvault.

Can I use Bookvault alongside IngramSpark?

You can use Bookvault and IngramSpark alongside one another.

On marketplaces such as Amazon, both providers can supply the same ISBN and edition and appear as separate seller offers on the same product page.

Amazon then decides which seller offer is shown most prominently based on its own marketplace systems.

For bookshops and wholesalers such as Gardners, the distributor registered against the ISBN with the relevant ISBN agency is important.

If you purchased and registered the ISBN yourself, make sure the distributor information held by the ISBN agency matches the distribution route you want bookshops to use.

Using Bookvault alongside another provider does not require you to remove one service simply because the other is active.

Can I use Bookvault with another publisher or printer?

Bookvault doesn't require you to use Bookvault exclusively. You can work with other publishers, printers or suppliers alongside Bookvault.

However, you should also check the terms and policies of the other provider, as they may have their own restrictions concerning using multiple services.
