Why Have I Received a Low Balance Email From Bookvault?

If you've connected an eCommerce platform such as Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce or Payhip to Bookvault, you may receive an email letting you know that your Bookvault account balance is running low.

Bookvault automatically sends the low balance notification when your balance falls below the fixed £25 threshold and you don't have a saved payment card on your account.

Why does Bookvault send this email?

The notification is designed to help prevent problems with orders coming through your online store.

Having a low balance won't immediately stop your customers from placing orders. However, if there aren't enough funds or an active payment method available when Bookvault needs to process an order, it won't automatically progress into production.

Instead, the order will remain as a Draft Order in your Bookvault portal until it can be paid for.

How do I stop the low balance emails?

You can prevent the notification by either:

• Adding funds to your Bookvault account
• Saving a payment card to your account

Go to the Payments page in your Bookvault account. On the right-hand side, you'll see the different transaction types and the option to add a payment card.

Bookvault processes transactions in GBP (£), USD ($) and AUD ($), so you'll need to save a payment card for each currency you intend to use.

What happens if my balance reaches zero?

If Bookvault doesn't have the funds or payment method required to process an order from your connected store, the order will be saved as a Draft Order.

You can then manually pay for the order or add funds to your account so your orders can continue processing.

How many low balance emails will I receive?

Low balance emails are typically sent up to three times before stopping automatically.
