Does Bookvault Support Right-to-Left (RTL) Printing?

Yes. Bookvault can print books in a right-to-left (RTL) format.

There is no specific RTL setting in the Bookvault portal, so the result depends on how you prepare and supply your files.

How should I set up the cover for an RTL book?

For a right-to-left book, your cover file should be arranged as:

Front cover (left) – Spine – Back cover (right)

This is the reverse of the standard left-to-right cover setup.

How should I set up the interior file?

Your interior content should run in reverse order, starting from the final page and working back to page 1.

Where will the production barcode appear?

Bookvault automatically places a barcode at the rear of the text block.

For RTL books, this may appear at the front of the printed text block.

This cannot currently be changed.

What if the wrong cover appears as my book thumbnail?

For standard left-to-right titles, Bookvault normally generates the book thumbnail from the right-hand side of the uploaded cover spread.

Because RTL covers are supplied in reverse order, this can sometimes result in the wrong side of the cover being used for the thumbnail.

If this happens, contact Bookvault Support and the team can check whether the thumbnail can be manually corrected for your title.
