Why Does My Title Show as ‘Distribution Unavailable’?

 What does “Distribution Unavailable” mean?

If your title shows as Distribution Unavailable, it usually means the book includes bespoke production options that are not supported through Bookvault’s wider retail distribution network.

Bespoke finishes can require additional production processes that are not suitable for standard retailer fulfilment.

Examples can include:

• foiling
• sprayed edges
• other bespoke or custom finishing options

Does an unusual book size prevent distribution?

Not necessarily.

A custom or unusual trim size on its own does not automatically make a title unavailable for distribution.

If your book does not contain bespoke finishing options, an unusual size or format should not automatically be treated as the reason distribution is unavailable.

Can I still sell a bespoke title?

Yes.

Even if a title is not eligible for Bookvault’s wider retail distribution network, you can still print and sell it directly through your own sales channels where supported.

What should I check?

If you are unsure why your title is showing as Distribution Unavailable, check the production specifications selected for the book.
