What Surcharges Does Bookvault Currently Charge?

Find out which additional surcharges may apply to Bookvault orders, including the €3 EU small-order surcharge introduced in July 2026.

In some circumstances, an additional surcharge may apply to your Bookvault order.

€3 EU Small Order Surcharge

From 1 July 2026, orders delivered into the EU from outside the EU are subject to a €3 surcharge per HS code.

As part of collecting this surcharge, the carrier also charges an additional 4% fee and converts the amount into GBP.

Because of currency exchange rates, the final GBP amount you see may therefore vary.

Where will I see the surcharge?

If the surcharge applies to your order, it will appear at the bottom of the order page.

What if I'm selling through Shopify, WooCommerce or another integration?

If you're using an eCommerce integration such as Shopify or WooCommerce, there are currently two ways you can collect the surcharge from your customer:

  1. Use a tax collection service or plugin such as EAS.
  2. Enable surcharge collection within the App Settings for your integration.

This allows you to account for the applicable surcharge when taking orders through your online store.
